This is what fueled the mission for 31:22 Boutique; to provide others with the solution for a problem I knew many of us fashionable Christians ran into every shopping trip.

What does 31:22 Boutique offer? We carry Christian tees, custom apparel, hand-selected vintage, and repurposed clothing. Our website is currently under construction but you can still visit us at www.thirtyone22.bigcartel.com for updates!

Team Natural Interview with Angel Berry

Name: Angel Berry
City: Memphis

How long have you been natural? I've been natural for 2 years and 4 months.

How long did it take for you to transition?  Prior to cutting it I went 6 months without a relaxer.
How often do you wash your hair?  I do wash it everyday.

What products do you use?  I use Organix Moroccan Shampoo and Conditioner

How often do you cut your hair? I get it cut once a week to keep it neat.

Do you have any advice for anyone who wants to go natural? Being natural is not just an appearance, it's also a state of mind and you have to be comfortable enough with yourself to wear it that way.. Hair doesn't make or break you, it just adds to who you already are. #allnaturalnoadditivesorpreservatives

NATURAL HAIR WITH SHEILA (SHE RICH)

Name: Sheila R

How long have you been natural? I haven't had a relaxer since April 2010 and I did the big chop May 2011.

How do you deal with your edges (while transitioning)? With my hair type (3c) it doesn't take much to straighten it so I just would flat iron it once a week. But a good edge control for me now is DreamKids Smooth Edges.

Do you have to wash it every day? I don't wash my hair everyday because that would strip all the oils from my hair also your hair needs to rest so I try my best to comb it as less as possible.

What products do you use? I been using Miss Jesses lately but Herbal Essence is my favorite and natural Shea butter to lock in moisture.

How do you get it straight?  I straighten my own hair because the last time I went to a salon the girl burned 3inches of my hair on one side. I make sure I rub Shea butter on it while I blow dry it so when I use the flat iron with the comb it helps to protect my hair.

How often do you cut your hair? I don't cut my hair until I have to. I want long hair my goal is 28 inches.

Do you have any advice for anyone who wants to go natural? Don't go natural because seems cool or cute this is a complete life style change. What you eat, drink, and do on a daily bases does affect your hair. If you feel like you are ready to go back the way you were created to be then I welcome you to natural life. Drink plenty of water & exercise. Also give you hair a few months to get create a curl pattern. Check out YouTube for tips. Chime Edwards is a good person to follow. And once you have crossed over into natural life you'll be able to run in the rain not from the rain!!

Team Natural Gennell P

Name: Gennell P
City: Nesbit, MS.

How long have you been natural? I’ve been natural for a 1yr and 6 months now.

What made you want to go natural? My daughter has eczema, and her hair fell out, and I had to learn how to take care of her hair because she could not have relaxers any more. So I made the decision to transition as well.

How long did it take you to grow your hair completely out? My plan was to transition for a year, but I transitioned for 7 months, and cut the rest of my relaxed ends off.

How do you deal with your edges (while transitioning)? I didn’t have any problems with my edges. I wore styles that blended in with the rest of my hair.

Do you have to wash it every day? In the beginning I was shampooing it 2-3 times a week, to try to keep it moisturized which was difficult, and now I only shampoo once a week.

What products do you use? I use Jojoba oil by organics, organic hair thickener, castor oil, coconut oil and extra virgin olive oil. For my shampoos & conditioners I use Shea Moisture line and Biotin Shampoo these are healthy products for your hair.

How do you get it straight? I was heat free for 1year and 5 months, and finally wanted to see how much growth I had so I straighten my hair once, I had it pressed with the “hot comb”, or you can blow dry it straight as well.

How often do you cut your hair? I cut my hair every 3 months

Do you have any advice for anyone who wants to go natural? Research, research, research! You are to treat ALL of your hair as if it’s already NATURAL very important especially if you plan to transition for more than a few months or a year or more. Treat your hair in the beginning as if it’s already natural, so you can prevent breakage. Make sure to condition & deep condition your hair and keep it moisturized. Everyone transitions differently its best if you do braids or sew-ins but not to do them often because it can break your edges, and then you’ll have to find a way to grow them back. You-tube was my best friend but you have to also be careful with that as well, because what works for others may not work for you. Choose a product you’d think would work best for you can try it for about a month, try not to become a product junkie, but it will be so difficult. Stay motivated, don’t let anyone tell you that NATURAL isn’t for everyone, sure enough it will get difficult at times trying to figure out what works best for you, but you once you work with your hair and tame it you’ll be fine.

MUSIC INTERVIEW WITH BEROBB........

What made you realize that music was your path?
Memphis has such amazing talent that it is hard not to fall in love with music in some shape or form. Since I was a teenager, I knew music would be a passion and ultimately a path to my success. How would you describe the music that you typically create?
Oh man, honestly, whatever I am feeling at the time. I am a musician first, so I can play and produce whatever. But those who have heard my music from a personal place, I think they would say “funky pop, space age, rhythmic, no limits kind of music.” I want people to say “damn, he different, yet familiar, out of this world, from another place, kind of dude.

Who are your biggest musical influences?
Ceelo Green, Andre 3000, Music Soulchild, Ludacris, Jay Z, Mystical, Lil Wayne, E 40, Twister, Busta Rhymes, Timbaland, Eminiem, just to name a few…

What makes your music unique?
I love experimenting with sound, synthesizers. My new fans about to see they universe take orbit, through me, BEROBB.

INTERVIEW WITH ADRIAN AUSTIN MODEL/DESIGNER...

Model Name: Adrian Douglas Austin
Location: Memphis, TN

What made you get into modeling/fashion? Every since I was a little boy I knew I wanted to become a Fashion Star. I use to stand in front of the television and ask my mother how I could get inside. I take modeling and fashion very seriously. It’s my passion, an outlet for me to express myself to the fullest. I love creating a story through modeling and fashion I believe modeling and fashion is a form of Entertainment that tells a story in a nonverbal way, which is one of many ways to communicate to your audience. Within the last six years I moreover discovered my companion passion for modeling. Not just modeling other designer's clothes but I want to be able to professionally design as well as model my own creations.

How long have you been into it? I’ve been drawing clothes since I was 7 years old. I started sewing/designing clothes when I was 16 years old. And I started modeling when I was 21 years old. So I would say about 18, 19 years.

What are some of your hobbies? I like to design, draw, shop, hip-hop dance, act, play baseball, travel all over the world, study, read, and spend time with my family.

How do you view the industry? Network, network, network! Get into the fashion industry parties even if it means sneaking in the back door. When you get connections and contacts be ready to hit them with quality ideas and designs. If the timing is right you may sell some clothes or land a nice little job.

You have anyone in mind you want to work with next model etc.? I would love to work with Kaysee ModelKayC Hayes I use to work with her at Hollister’s Co., back in 2006. I think she’s dope and hot. And I would love to work with Shaniece Nicole Birgs I have known her since the 7th grade she’s a sweet humble person I think she’s fly and bad.

Who are some of your favorite designers? Louis Vuitton, Russell Simmons, Dolce and Gabbana, Versace, Michael Kors, Marc Jacobs, Ralph Lauren.

Where can we find you online? Twitter: AdrianANDouglas, Facebook: Adrian HoodStar Austin, ModelMayHem: Adrian Austin, MySpace: Adrian Austin, Instagram: Adrian_Austin

What is something you willing to share with your readers that they might not know about you? Growing up for me has not been an easy journey. My mother was on drugs and whose whereabouts were unknown, she had failed in her responsibility to provide adequate care, support, and supervision of not only me but my other three sisters and two younger brothers furthermore my Father was on drugs as well he has never been in my life. With Grandmother Hattie Mae Austin being given custody and guardianship of all the grandchildren, that was the biggest commitment a grandmother could ever make. Years later with the passing of two uncles in 2002 and with my best friend in 2003, my dream continued to blossom. Shortly after my life was shattered along with the fashion world when I then endured the death of my beloved mother, the late Constance Elizabeth Austin also in 2003, after which I named my primary couture fashion line, Constance and Austin Inc. Better known as C and A Fashions.

Anything you want to add before we close out? “Never let them tell you, you can’t make it. I am a living proof that dedication will lead to success just be patient and make wise decisions.’’

DAY 3 OF THE MOVEMENT PATRICK C PHOTOGRAPHY

Now that Day 3 in 2013 is down towards creating art, there are 362 days left in making Patrick C Photography a household name around the world. Yesterday I had a chance to work with a couple of people and booked five more shoots for the month (so it is looking good right now).... Most people in photography know this can be a time of year when business is not moving as fast. So, to already have five booked with more coming is considered a pretty good start.

Yesterday I had the opportunity to shoot with a young lady name Zenobia, I call her “Eyes” because they stand out. It was her first shoot and understandably she was nervous and a little shy but once the camera started snapping and the lights were flashing things worked out for the best. I played with a couple of images on the edit tip and put a little something together that is artsy. Giving you a little sample of the work…

More shoots are coming and more art flowing so make sure you all join my blog and visit my site www.patrickcphotography.com I am really pushing to have all my facebook, twitter and other social networks shift over here so I can protect my work and give you more of my artsy pieces.

The goal of Patrick C Photography by year’s end is to grace at least six magazines and become one of the most recognized artistic photographers that creates uniquely specific Patrick C pieces … With your help and support I know for sure this can become a reality, I have the plans I just need all my people pushing to support my art and vision. When I make it we all can say this is something we WORKED together to make happen..

Thank you for the support and look forward to more…

Patrick Covington
